ART CAMP FOR KIDS

Surrounded by the beautiful waters of Cape Cod, is a small but radical art camp for kids. The Rainbow Weavers is built on strengthening the imagination and creative spirit of each child. Children will explore how colors, sound and movement inspire our creativity through different lessons, experiments and games during the week. Throughout the camp kids will develop: team work skills, creating confidence in sharing their art, an expanded imagination and connection to their creative spirit.

We accept 8 kids per week and have 4 different weeks to choose from.

Main ingredients to our curriculum

  • An environment of kindness

    We believe that kids are most capable in an environment of kindness. In our small groups, kids are able to feel supported by other children and a sense of belonging. Here, they are able to open up and share their unique creativity with confidence.

  • Creating from our unique spirit

    Our curriculum allows kids to connect to, strengthen and express the magic within through their art. We use Life Weaving Ceremonies to strengthen the imagination and creative spirit, so kids can create art that is unique to them. This teaches campers that their uniqueness is celebrated and so needed at this time!

  • Play

    We understand that play is nourishing to the creative spirit and the best art comes when we play! Campers play and move their bodies each day. Through dance parties, exploring the nature outside the studio and laughing a lot we see play as an essential nutrient for life and for thriving as a child.

  • Kids supporting kids + teamwork

    During our daily art reflections, kids share what they see in each others developing art and what was shared last year was so beautiful. Kids celebrating each others unique creations helps their confidence and belief in themselves as creative beings. Kids work together throughout the week on group projects that facilitate teamwork and our art show unites the group to a larger mission of purpose!

Creative expression, magic, play & friends!

The camp works all week to put on an art show for family, friends and community to see what magic the kids have created!

The kids join together to use their creative power to design the art show.

Kids participate in every step of creating the exhibition. Kids will create their own unique large scale paintings, a collaborative group painting, numerous mixed media works of art and design the layout of the show. Kids will learn to work together to produce a show that comes from their own ideas, imagination and creative visions!

The week after the camp, the Rainbow Weavers transforms into a gallery in which the kids art will be showcased all weekend long! Stop by to feel the magic!

What will kids create ?

  • 1 large scale painting per child.

  • 1 large scale collaborative group painting.

  • Daily art inspired by our lessons, experiments and games.

  • Kids learn how to journey into their own creative realms so they can connect to their unique energy, imagination and visions to create art that comes from the magic within!

  • We work with multiple mediums from paint to found items in nature depending on how the kids art wants to be expressed.

  • Kids work together to design and set up the gallery for the art show!

  • Kids are featured in the gallery for 1 week after camp.

Tools for kids to shine.

The creator of the camp, Alex, believes that when we join our spirit and our body through our creativity we create a resonance that is unique to us and helps us to feel alive! As there is so much pulling kids away from their unique nature, they need practices that connect them back to themselves and back to life. Artistic expression is one way kids can feel in love with life. That they can use these tools they learn at camp whether it’s reading energy, supporting other kids, believing in their creations or bringing new ideas into the community- everything they learn here is to help them shine in the world!

  • Camp is Monday through Thursday 10-2pm

    Art show is Fridays from 4-6.

  • 6-13

  • We ask that each child brings their own lunch and a snack!

  • The camp is located at 95 commercial street, Wellfleet MA on outer Cape Cod.

    The space is a large art gallery with brilliant lighting and walkable to nature trails.

  • We run our camp week to week! You can sign up for 1 or more weeks! There are a limited number kids each week so every child can receive the attention and guidance they deserve.

  • Kids can participate in as many weeks as they like. Since our creativity is endless, kids can come back to use our method to create art throughout the whole summer!
